Pros

Four day work week is nice when it happens Some very fine team members but overworked and not going to last

Cons

This company has been floundering about for a few years. Multiple rounds of layoffs. Staff is less than half of former size. Funding desperately needed but not raised despite multiple attempts. Investors see the chaos. Product chaos as well. Seems like the platform description changes following low sales quarter. Many juggling multiple roles now. Quite disappointed in the poor quality of leadership, particularly at the top. Aimless, changing direction every few months. Confusing. Lower pay, few opportunities for increases. No way to make career advances. I’ve had no professional development offered. I admired the culture statements but they proved hollow. Really wanted this to be a better experience. I suspect things are worse than we are being told. Most people here are job searching. Truly unfortunate.

Good place to work

Pros

Growing fast. Very fast. The holiday policy is amazing. Fun people. Fast pace. The business is run very transparently. This is super refreshing. There's even an internal dashboard tool that shows finances, planning, how development is proceeding, how support is doing, etc. Honestly, I've already been mentioning opportunities at Administrate to several former colleagues. It's a good place to work.

Cons

Monetary compensation isn't industry standard, but the holiday package makes up for it. At my point in life, having 6 weeks off a year was worth more to me than a few percentage points on salary.

Damaging, Unhealthy Workplace

Pros

4-day week Remote working (but not implemented well)

Cons

siloed teams lots of burnout, despite shorter weeks! lack of security meant asking for help felt impossible glorification of overworkers gnarly company history (ask around) scapegoating disorganisation galore will probably make you need therapy This workplace did a complete number on me and I didn't even realise the extent of the damage until I was back to working for a normal company. I am re-learning that I don't have to justify my existence every minute of the day, that I am capable of my job, that I enjoy doing it, and that if you need every non-working hour just to recover from work, that's NOT a good work-life balance.
