Senior Client Partner / People & Culture Manager - Auckland
Auckland, Auckland
Description
We’re looking for a Senior Client Partner / People & Culture Manager to join our growing Auckland team. You’ll bring strong generalist experience and a passion for people, performance, and culture. In this role, you’ll partner with leaders and organisations across Aotearoa to help them crack the people code — shaping strategy, culture, and capability to lift performance and impact. You’ll work alongside a talented national team, collaborating closely while leading client work and driving real results. This role is perfect for someone who thinks beyond the HR box and thrives in fast-paced, varied work. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, bring sharp people insights, and love crafting practical, human solutions that make workplaces better. If you’re a kind human with strong P&C foundations, a proactive mindset, and a genuine love of relationships and results, we’d love to connect.

help to align what's best for people with what's best for organisations.
What you'll be doing

Provide practical advice across engagement, organisation design and people foundations such as policies and compliance, aligned to client strategy.
Deliver outsourced people projects and priorities with a strong focus on outcomes and client experience.
Talent acquisition
Partner closely with CEOs, CPOs, managing directors, boards and senior leaders as a trusted sounding board on talent acquisition strategy.
Help ambitious organisations lift performance by sourcing and hiring outstanding people, working as an embedded partner or on targeted engagements.
Design and deliver sourcing and hiring processes, tools and measures that raise the bar beyond standard practice.
Delivery and collaboration
Deliver solutions that reflect Humankind’s Awesome Work guidelines and commitment to thoughtful, innovative practice.
Collaborate closely with the Humankind team across projects, often taking the lead on talent acquisition engagements.
Maintain clear, proactive communication with clients to align on scope, progress and expectations.
Apply strong technical capability across change management, employee relations and employee-centred delivery.
Own the financial performance of your client portfolio, delivering work to agreed budgets and timelines.
Client aroha and business development
Act as a trusted people partner in day-to-day client relationships, creating experiences that feel considered and high quality.
Build long-term client partnerships and identify opportunities to support evolving people and culture needs.
Support business development by quickly understanding prospective client challenges and goals.
Contribute to proposals that reflect the Humankind brand and approach.
Participate in networking activities to grow your professional network and Humankind’s market presence.
Leadership
Mentor and coach Client Partners and team members, supporting the growth of the consulting team.
Contribute to the development of Humankind’s systems, tools and approach to delivering a leading recruitment service.
Other contributions
Take part in internal projects and working groups that strengthen Humankind’s employee experience, services and market position.
Invest in your own development through learning, shared knowledge and formal programmes.
Participate in an active learning culture, which may include some out-of-hours engagement.
