This is a senior hands-on role within Holmes' Digital Advancement team. You'll drive AI enablement across our engineering practice by designing and optimising intelligent workflows, automating manual processes, and bringing genuine skill in agentic workflows and Model Context Protocol (MCP) services. Working closely with product owners, engineers, and vendors, you'll shape how Holmes finds, surfaces, and structures data to support engineering delivery.

Day-to-day, you'll design, build, and deploy AI-enabled solutions, build and manage data pipelines and AI workflows on Azure infrastructure, contribute to system architecture discussions, produce clear implementation plans, and make decisions about how data is discovered, structured, and surfaced to support engineering teams. It's a role where technical depth and the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders is needed.

For this role, you'll need 5+ years of experience in data science, AI engineering, or a related field, solid Azure skills, and demonstrated hands-on experience with AI tools and agentic workflows. Strong Python skills are useful, and experience with machine learning frameworks, data modelling, or ETL processes will be well regarded, and a background or passion for engineering is a genuine bonus. You'll also bring excellent communication skills, with the confidence to mentor team members, translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, and influence decision-making at all levels.
