I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zscaler (San Jose, CA) in Oct 2017
Interview
Zscaler interview was a straightforward process similar to LinkedIn's. A recruiter reached out and then help setup a technical phone screening. After the phone screening, the onsite was approximate 3 hours long. Questions were generally relevant to the company's product and required technical skill set. A strong networking background, or reviewing network fundamentals is recommended.
The recruiters were great at setting up the interview process and quick to respond to any questions. It was a very responsive and comfortable open dialogue.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Zscaler
Interview
Hiring process has been pretty much straightforward and very quick too.
Initially I had a call with the recruiter. Later immediately he helped in scheduling 4 interview interactions with various team members.
1st interaction: It was technical discussion about my knowledge and previous experience
2nd interaction: it was a deep dive about the various tools and scripting I have knowledge of. Whiteboard’ing was involved
3rd interaction: it was a technical discussion with more day to operations I perform
4th interaction: this was a coding/scripting assessment. They have given couple of python code blocks and was expecting me to run thru and share the expected out. As I was solving I was given 3 questions. Most of them varied from log parsing to building resistive functions.
Few days after I have completed these interactions, Recrutier reached out to me and mentioned there would be a final interaction with Hiring Manager and scheduled a 45 mins interview.
Hiring manager was accommodating and warm. We had a brief discussion on my technical background and later he mentioned if I would like to go with a small coding challenge. I was not prepared but went ahead. He has provided a bunch of string parsing along with inline functions. I was able to go thru them and share the output of each call. And it was a wrap.
With in few days heard back from the HR, they are interested in proceeding with me and provided me a offer
