There were five stages of interview:
1. Senior Recruiter
2. Hiring Manager
3. Stakeholder
4. Team interaction
5. Senior Recruiter
All of this happened over the a period of six weeks. After that, everything went silent for two weeks. Then, out of the blue, the senior recruiter informed me that I am being considered for a more senior role, he would get back to me in two weeks. Meanwhile, I was sent a survey about my candidate experience, which I responded in positive, since I was expecting a call in two weeks.
After two weeks, I mailed the senior recruiter, asking for an update. No response for a week.
Rinse, repeat. For four weeks.
Finally, I contacted the hiring manager on LinkedIn, where I was told, "Sorry, it did not work out!"
So, after twenty hours of preparation, six weeks of interviewing and another six weeks of waiting, I finally got to know the outcome only after I took initiative and contacted the hiring manager on LinkedIn. I would have been glad to know of the outcome on a mail or on call. But they made me wait and did not reply to my weekly reminders.
All in all, it did not end on a good note for me.
