      Digital Marketing Manager Interview

      17 Sept 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Cape Town
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at WebFX (Cape Town) in Apr 2022

      Interview

It was a long process. From what I understood there were about 5 or 6 interviews total. They are much more interested in whether or not you fit the company culture than your experience. In a way this can also be a problem because you might be a great candidate but your nerves could hinder your ability to communicate your true self. A question I would suggest to the interviewers is to always ask the candidate at the end of the interview, how nervous they were at the start and how nervous they are at the end of it. This gives great insight to the state of mind of the candidate. All my interviews were virtual. I'm South African and applied for a remote position.

      Digital Marketing Manager Interview

      9 Aug 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Johannesburg
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at WebFX (Johannesburg) in Apr 2022

      Interview

I applied online after an current WebFX member had reached out to me directly on LinkedIn to encouraged me to apply as my skill set and experience was a great fit. Once applied, I had a video call with the WebFX member that had reached out to me. All went well and onto the next phase which was the WebFX Writing Assessments. Surprisingly, none were skill-based but more so personality-based along with an english test. Once the tests had been completed, the next phase entailed a video call with the WebFX Director of Operations. During this interview, it was promised to advise me of the outcome regardless of the decision made - however, no feedback was received and my emails ignored. I do believe that the WebFX 'family' could work on that part of the interview process (keeping to their promises) - as that phase was the only disappointing experience I had with them.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      1) Tell me about yourself? 2) From the test assessment where you had to rate your skills from 1 being the highest and 10 being the lowest - Please explain the top three and bottom three and why you had placed them in that order. 3) What was something that someone said about you that was not true?
