      I had a call with recruiter first. After that, it was assessment test. After this test, there was a 30 minute phone interview with hiring manager. He asked me technical questions around the work that I currently do. Then I was called on site for white boarding interview. It lasted around 1.5 hours. I did not get an offer even though I answered all the SQL and coding questions. I do have some experience with .net stack but I am currently working heavily in JS stack. This position requires.net stack experience. It was something they were aware of since the beginning but still I was called onsite and later got rejected because I don’t have enough .net experience. They wasted their as well as my time in the process.

      I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Vertafore in May 2024

      It was a very weird and time wasting experience for me. It felt like they were there for window shopping and didn't have any plan to recruite. Recruiter contacted me through LinkedIn. He invited me to take one aptitude test and a behavioral test. After completing both the tests he scheduled technical round interview. They required someone with 2-6 years exp in .NET and SQL. Every criteria and requirements of the role seem fit for my profile to me except for one. I have not worked on live project related to .NET but have a good knowledge on it and have worked on various real time projects. I have pointed this to the recruiter the first time he contacted. It was mentioned in my resume as well and I informed the same to the interviewer at the start of the interview. He seemed fine with it and started the interview. Most of the questions were basic. It went for an hour and at the end he said - " I like your confidence and you speak with such confidence. It shows you have knowledge on these concepts but unfortunately we can't move further with your profile because you have never worked on live projects and we strictly need someone who has previously worked on live projects." I don't understand if that was the rule then why they invited for interview. Or they could have stopped the interview in the middle. It went for more than an 1 hour and he rejected by giving the reason I mentioned multiple times before the interview even started. After rejecting also he kept on going giving me life gyaan that I made mistake by not doing live project in previous company. Again this is the only reason why I separated from my previous company and looking for new job. I have mentioned this also in the interview. He was repeating my words only. After listening him for 5 minutes I told I have to leave and disconnect the call.

      1. Introduce yourself 2. Coding question on simple string manipulation. 3. Question regarding the code i wrote. Like why I used certain datastructure. If I have used different datastructure then what error would have occurred. 4. Any real time projects I have worked on. He asked me to explain it. 5. Asked questions related to concepts that I said I used in my project. 6. Write sql query. It was related to Join, group by and aggregate function 7. OOPS concepts. Asked about all of them in detail. Give example. He gave scenarios and asked questions related to that.
