      Android Software Engineer Interview

      5 Mar 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Veilant in Jul 2020

      Interview

The interview process wasn’t bad. The waiting after it was the issue. After the third interview, it was made pretty clear that I would hear back soon as they thought I would be a good fit, and from that point on until I got told that they were looking for someone with a clearance and that I would not be moving forward, was just back and forth checking in emails. From the time of my last interview to the time when I was told them they would not be moving forward with me was a span of three months, all of which during the three months, I was repeatedly assured that I would be moving forward, and that they were working on the job offer, from both one of the managers who I spoke to on the phone, and the recruiter. That being said, the disconnect could’ve been due to COVID and everyone working from home, but this was honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had so far interviewing for a company.
