I applied online. I interviewed at Vanilla Technologies in Feb 2026
Interview
Had a screener phone call with a recruiter, and then didn't hear back. The screener interview was standard, with questions about prior experience, why interested in this position, and time at the end for me to ask questions.

Question 1
Tell me about a launch you supported? Why are you interested in this role?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Vanilla Technologies (San Francisco, CA) in May 2022
Interview
This was a normal process with a call with a recruiter, then with a tenured employee followed by the hiring manager, and finished up with a call with the CEO & CTO. Nothing was a surprise in the process and the recruiter was helpful in updating me during the interview.
Unfortunately, the organization became aggressive after an offer was given. I followed up with many questions and the response to these questions was lacking...they didn't answer the questions and told me I had to decide that day. It felt very different from how it began.

Question 1
Tell us about how you built something, brought stakeholders along on the journey, manage stakeholders.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vanilla Technologies (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2022
Interview
The process kicked off after responding to a recruiter's outreach email. The entire process took about 3 weeks and was surprisingly enjoyable.
The interview consisted of 4 steps:
1. Recruiter screen
2. Technical interview
3. Hiring manager screen
4. Final round (1 coding/cultural, 1 cultural)
At the time of the interview, the team size was smaller and looking to grow quickly. Thus, both technical ability and cultural fit were points of emphasis in the conversations.
