I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at VMware (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2011
Interview
Phone screen, and then in-person interview. Discovered half-way into in person interview that position was not good fit. The recruiter didn't describe the position well enough

Question 1
How do you move a deal along after the prospect goes quiet ("radio silence")
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at VMware in Dec 2023
Interview
I applied for an open position, and had a positive initial conversation with a recruiter, but then received no further communication. They inquired about whether I knew anyone within the company. From my observation, the team may not be comprised of the most diligent or intelligent workers, and the culture appears to have a "I scratch your back" mentality. The downfall of Vmware in the recent years is a good example of this, numbers never lie.

Question 1
Background , who I knew in their organisation already.
One of the worst interviews I've had. The recruiter was rude, disrespectful, pushy in getting confidential info from me. It says a lot about this company. Glad didn't join the company.

Question 1
How much was your quota, how much revenue you generated from each specific account (they forced you to name the names and provide actual numbers for each), that represent what percentage of the revenue growth from this account and that account... They shouldn't have asked such quesetions.
I had to follow up repeatedly, the entire process of 3 interviews took 1.5 months and still did not get the role. The "talent acquisition" folk seem more like an admin role arranging meetings only.
