It was a four round interview process starting with recruiter, followed by supervisor, colleague and skip level manager. The recruiter interview was a career review. The interviews with team members were based on personality fit, operations, “what would you do” type scenarios.
I applied online. I interviewed at Unite Us (Newark, NJ) in Feb 2021
Interview
Had a standard introductory call with the recruiter. She contacted me 10 minutes after our scheduled time and didn’t provide advance notice of her tardiness. If you're running late, at least email the candidate to let him/her know. A candidate’s time is just as valuable as someone who currently works at the organization.
The recruiter's communication was very inconsistent/intermittent between the 2nd and 3rd interviews. She mentioned scheduling an interview prep yet never followed through. When I called to set it up, I couldn't even leave a message because her voicemail was full.
During the 3rd interview, one of the interviewers seemed very disinterested and was multi-tasking throughout the call. Her final comment was, "Well, follow up whoever you were speaking with if you have any questions." Clearly, there's a lack of communication throughout the hiring process.
Never heard back regarding possible next steps after sending a thank you to the hiring manager and recruiter. Then found the job reposted two days later. If you're not interested in a candidate, the least you can do is provide feedback rather than stringing him/her along...
Disappointing to say the least. For a company that prides itself on its mission, you’d think they would treat potential candidates with more sincerity.
