      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      7 Jan 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Tapcart in Jan 2026

      Interview

2 rounds recruiter + hiring manager, they were pretty nice and easy to talk to. I’m not quite sure why I didn’t move to the 3rd round. The feedback was pretty general no Thank you. Wish I would have had more feedback on why they rejected me after the second round. I had a lot of experience similar to the role. Sometime I wonder if the hiring manager is just bored and wants to interview people just for entertainment particularly since I’m a woman, or they just want to find out what other companies are doing, which is an indirect way of stealing info. Well their loss. I know I’m a strong candidate. I have a rule though, once a company refuse me I rarely go back and apply again. Especially if they make you feel that being a senior in the company is some sort of privilege. That means the culture is competitive and rather unhealthy.
