      Data Science Intern Interview

      13 Sept 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. I interviewed at Spoonshot

      Interview

There was a 30-minute online test with questions from Algebra, Algorithms, and Data Science, followed by a 24-hour take-home challenge on ML. After clearing this I was invited for an online interview, where they asked me to explain some of my answers from the online test and later asked me some new questions. There was another online interview a week after the first one. I was asked to write some code to solve some simple tasks. The entire process took a little over 3 weeks.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Questions from algebra, algorithms and data science. Writing Python code to solve some simple tasks like creating a counter of distinct elements from a list, an algorithm to compute a^b without using the ** operator in Python.
