I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at SAS (Pune) in Nov 2012
Interview
Multiple technical round focused on evaluating approach and knowledge. Problem solving oriented questions. Focus on object oriented design. The process was oriented in evaluating knowledge approach and personality. Technical rounds were exhaustive and covered everything mentioned on resume. HR round was mostly oriented toward explaining the culture of the firm and what should I expect once joined. Overall the experience was pleasant and engaging.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SAS (Pune) in Apr 2026
Interview
I had a good experience throughout the SAS interview process. The rounds though were very vigorous but were well conducted. Had six rounds. Pre screening round (with Manager), Technical discussion 1, Technical discussion 2, Managerial face-to-face, Director round face-to-face, HR interview face-to-face. The discussions were well-structured and the process was smooth and professionally managed. HR was very active throughout the process in updating the status.
I applied online. I interviewed at SAS in Feb 2023
Interview
I as a Shortlisted applicant received HR call in 2 days. 1st technical round occurred 3 days later with questions about relocation and experience. Efficient communication and prompt response from HR streamlined the interview process.

Question 1
1. write rest API connection code 2. program for invalid brackets in a string.
I applied through a recruiter. The interview process included several rounds of technical assessments, all of which I cleared. However, the final HR round — which was face-to-face — was disappointing and felt like a complete waste of time.
Instead of focusing on role expectations, cultural fit, or compensation, the HR round involved vague and unrelated questions that had no relevance to the job or my application.
After spending hours across multiple rounds, it was frustrating to have the entire process dismissed over something as basic as notice period — which had already been mentioned earlier in the process.
Pros:
Technical interviewers were knowledgeable and focused
Technical rounds were challenging and relevant
Cons:
Last-minute disqualification due to avoidable issue
No respect for candidate’s time and effort
