      Senior Product Manager Interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Revelator in Oct 2023

      Interview

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Instructions: Feel free to make assumptions as you go in your answers, but document them. There are no right or wrong answers, we just want to understand your thought process. The assignment will not be based upon Revelator’s product, we are not asking you to do free work. Question 1: Prioritization You have a full workload for the next few sprints for your dev team, priorities that were already planned. You have just discovered a bug in production, and at the same time you are asked by the CEO to work on a new feature. How do you prioritize? What other information will you need to make the decision? Question 2: Feedback loops You’ve joined a start-up that's recently experienced hyper growth, and the CEO feels like the company (and the product team) is starting to lose touch with the customers as you scale up. What would you do to create meaningful and effective feedback loops so that you as a product manager will have a deep understanding of the users' needs? Pick a mobile or web app that you use every day or several times a week. Create a short outline of the app (400 word maximum) including: what use case it solves, who is the user, who are the competitors, and any other important points in textual or table format. Design one new feature that you think would make the app better, include requirements and one to two wireframes. Is there a usability issue or bug that you would also like to fix?
