Procore is one of the best companies that I interview with! It really shows how much they care about their people through the interview process. Highly recommend anyone to apply to this company. For the short time I spent with Procore, I already fell in love with the company and knew that I'd be very happy working here.
I found their job posting on Glassdoor, applied and their recruiter reached out the next day! The process is pretty typical: recruiter phone screening, 1 technical technical phone screening, 1 phone screening with the hiring manager (VP of engineering) and they flew me out for an all day, onsite, multiple interviews round.
The interviews are some of the best I've experienced. The interviewers were all really nice and eager to conduct the interview. They actually pay attention to you and engage with the coding challenge. Also they let you Google anything you might forget, which is the first I've seen in any technical interview.
The onsite interview is my favorite, their HQ is beautiful! For my onsite, we started with a campus tour, and it's awesome. After that was the panel introduction, which I think is very smart since everyone who will interview you is in this meeting so they can ask all the background/experience questions at once and you won't have to repeat these in each round after that (I know right? They actually put in thoughts for the interviewee). Next was an interview with a manager, the person who was supposed to interview me called in sick so they quickly found another QA manager to interview me. I didn't have to wait at all for this switch, which I really appreciate. The next rounds was a technical interview where they gave me a really interesting problem (not your typical algorithm question but a more practical problem). We had a great time COLLABORATING on the problem. After that I had lunch with everyone who interviewed me that day. Since everyone was really nice we had a good time eating and chatting about our lives :) I felt like we'd be great friends! In the afternoon I had an architecture interview and lastly an interview with the VP of engineering which both went great.
Overall I had a great time with Procore! I sadly couldn't accept their offer due to life circumstances even though the offer was very generous and on par with silicon valley companies' offers.
