I encouraged a client to apply for a junior role in which we basically told the company: "Hey, I've got 10+ years of experience in construction and I'm clearly not a fit - but you guys seem like an excellent org - are you looking to fill any senior roles in the future?"
Instead of a phone call, or any type of human contact - my client received a generic disqualification email that made no sense given the context of the cover letter.
I'm genuinely baffled as to why a company would conduct itself this way.
I reached out to the Chief Talent Officer to inform them of what happened, and I got the following reply: "Thx for the feedback!! Definitely will dig into our processes a bit more
Bizarre. I understand wanting to collect the facts, but there was no empathy, no connection, no apology. Just a generic, empty promise of non-action.
This, from the C-Level?
I'd encourage job-seekers to give this company a miss. They aren't what they hold themselves out to be.

Phone screen with recruiter. Then there was a phone screen with future manager. 4 25-minute in person interviews with team. Very engaging and great team. Mostly behavioral / fit questions in the interview.
