      Interview

I applied through an alumni job board then had a 30 minute phone screen to chat about the company / role. After that there were two additional phone interviews prior to an in-person interview at their office in SF. In total the interview process took around 3 weeks.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at People.ai (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2023

      Interview

The leadership panel are all very close and tight knit and you could tell they are a fun bunch to work with. It was very straight forward and clear instructions were given. They are really just wanting to see discovery techniques and customer understanding processes.

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at People.ai (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2018

      Interview

In my case, I was knowingly referred by another contact I was interviewing with. It began with a 30 minute screening interview with People.ai's Internal Recruiter. Next, I was invited in for a short 1-on-1 with the hiring manager. That was followed by an additional round of on-site interviews with various team members, and a short presentation highlighting my ability to run a mock meeting on a subject I was familiar with. Essentially, they had me present a deck I was familiar with, rather than one they provided or asked that I generate. Definitely preferable, IMO. Following the presentation, I had one more round of on-site interviews with senior leadership, before meeting with a VP for drinks to get to know each other a little more, and for them to provide the framework of the offer they informed me they would be making. Coming from a start-up myself, I really apprecaited the teams' focus not simply on skill-set, but also on cultural fit. The interview process familiarized myself with the company enough for me to know it was somewhere I really wanted to work, and based on the outcome, I think it gave them a very well-rounded idea of who I am, both as an employee, and a corporate citizen, I should also mention that even though there were multiple rounds, the entire process was completed in three weeks, and it probably would have been shorter if I hadn't just returned from a trip. The recruiter I worked with was exception, and I feel like every step in the process helped assure a fit between myself, the company, and my new co-workers. 10/10 would interview again.

      Question 1

How would you handle a situation in which your client has the CEO's cell phone number, and continues to bypass all traditional methods of escalation, opting instead to goe straight to the CEO for all of their needs (big or small)?
