I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Pegasystems (Kraków) in May 2016
Interview
I was contacted by a Pega recruiter on LinkedIn. After several (3) phone conversations, both in Polish and English, I was invited for interviews (2) to the Pega office in Kraków. The first interview was a kind of test of my professional qualifications and took 2 hours. It consisted of several questions and some hands-on tests. After short break I was interviewed by the Vice-President. It was about overall work experience. The next step after 6 days was a phone conference with a director of software engineering in Cambridge (Pega headquarters). He interrogated me about experience in one particular field of Java platform – performance tuning of JVM in production environment - what was obviously important for the position in Kraków. My core competencies are other - I am designer and developer of Java enterprise applications. 2 days later my recruiter gave me a denial by phone.
