I applied online and was invited to interview for the role straight away, though the recruiter's earliest availability for a phone screen was a full week+ away (understandable). Where I began to get frustrated, is when my confirmed, scheduled, interview time came, I was completely stood up with no explanation or even attempt at contact. Simply no call or way to get in touch with the recruiter. After about 15min I sent a polite email asking if now was still a good time as well as an invitation to reschedule that would work better, and also called to leave a voicemail for the recruiter through the PayCom main contact number. Close of business that day, I still had received no contact or explanation from the team or organization. (somewhat understandable - people can get busy). Then, about 24 hours from the scheduled call, and still with out any explanation, apology, or even contact from the team, I received an auto-rejection letter. Whaa? Please note I was also fully qualified for this job and looking forward to the opportunity to learn more. That being said, I am shocked and the lack of professionalism in this brief interview process. At least it is clear to me now that this organization is not a place I want to be.
