The whole process too about a month, though I had been applying for several months. I've only had one callback about a job and it was for a Paycom Specialist position. The initial phone interview was standard and led to the first of two in person interviews. The first interview was nerve racking, but in hindsight was standard, Paycom is very much about ensuring the people they hire fit within the culture which I respect. I had a second interview which led to an initial offer contingent upon the completion of a fairly extensive background and drug screening. In the end (three weeks after the initial offer was made) I was told that I would not be able to be hired because something in my background didn't meet Paycom standards. When I asked what that was I was told that HR could not relay what it was and that I would have to request a report from GIS. This made and still makes no sense to me considering it's not the background company that decided whether I do or do not have a job, it's Paycom. So unless the report tells me explicitly what Paycom didn't like then I guess I'm in the dark. Furthermore I tried to obtain said report only to be told they didn't have one fire me. So I feel I deserve an explanation as to whAt didn't meet their standards. It seems a little ridiculous to me that they can't answer that basic question. Otherwise the interviews were fine, the process afterwards sucked though.
