Don’t bother applying here unless you enjoy having your time completely disrespected.
The process is absurd: recruiter call, hiring manager screen, coding interview, then a virtual onsite with coding, system design, AND behavioral. Pass all of that? Great, now do a 30-minute CTO call. Pass that too? Congrats, you get to talk to the CEO who can reject you for literally any reason despite strong hires from everyone else.
I actually enjoyed talking to the engineers and other interviewers, those conversations were solid. But after weeks of interviews and multiple rounds where I performed well, the CEO just said no. No real feedback, no explanation that makes sense. Just a rejection after I invested hours of my time.
And the recruiter? Basically MIA. Good luck getting timely responses or updates. You’ll be left hanging while they take their sweet time, which makes the whole drawn-out process even worse.
Looking at Blind reviews, this isn’t a one-off. The CEO apparently does this constantly, lets people go through the entire gauntlet just to reject them arbitrarily at the end. It’s a pattern, and it’s disrespectful.
Seven+ rounds of interviews for the CEO to veto everything on a whim is insulting. This company doesn’t value candidates’ time, period. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.
Everyone was very nice to speak with.
Process was a recruiter screen, hiring manager screen.
Then 1 hour coding and AI screen.
Then prep call and short onsite.
The coding questions were all custom made which was nice. They tested concepts that engineers actually use in real life.
System design was a bit strange, seems like they tried to enforce a lot of arbitrary constraints.
Hiring manager and behavioral questions were very standard and pleasant.
Will give Paxos a lot of credit, they were very timely in sending out a rejection letter and actually gave me a bit of feedback. They were the only company to give me any feedback at all this cycle, so very much appreciated.
I would definitely interview again, props to the interviewing team.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Custom coding questions, but if you Leetcode or interview at all then you should be good. System design question was one I have never heard of before.
Behaviorals were very typical.
Applied for a job from their site. Got a pretty quick followup from a recruiter, and then had a good intro call with them. Recruiter was very prompt in scheduling a first round interview with the hiring manager, and then with rescheduling as needed due to the hiring manager's needs.
Felt like the interview with the hiring manager went well, but then heard nothing afterwards. Sent an email to the recruiter to ask if they had any feedback, and heard nothing. Disappointing, as the overall glassdoor rating for the company seemed good.

Question 1
Describe a project that went well/what you did etc. Pretty standard, conversational.
