      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PagerDuty (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2018

      Interview

Overall, I like how engaging the Technical Recruiter was. The sad thing was that the lax attitude towards correspondence after the screen share coding appraisal. 1. 30 minute call with a recruiter. 2. Screenshare android coding exercise 3. I'm guessing on-site. My gripe with them is that after the coding exercise, I had to email them days later to ask if we were proceeding or not. They mailed back later on the same day that they've gone with other alternatives without so much as any feedback on the work I did.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PagerDuty (Toronto, ON) in Jun 2019

      Interview

A very light weight phone screen followed by a intense onsite interview. From the time I walked into the office I didn't get that warm feeling like they really wanted me there. I've been on both sides of the table and it is pretty easy to make someone feel welcome! Honestly it felt like they had scheduled the interview and changed their mind, but because they flew me in had to go through with it. It doesn't matter how good your ability to code is. You better be able to code with a group of people, under pressure. A broken interview process. Lunch was interesting...nice enough, but as an extrovert, it was challenging to get a word in edge-wise at times. Given the offices in Toronto and Atlanta it feels like they are trying to reduce costs with cheaper people. I didn't hear a lot of excitement about the company from the people interviewing me either. The entire mobile team is pretty small. Process felt disorganized and rushed and I walked out not overly excited about the opportunity. Honestly it was a relief not getting an offer from them because I probably would have turned it down.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They make you sign an NDA for onsite so I will not disclose those.
