It was long interview process running 4hrs 40min schedule, the process had multiple stages to be completed within the day. I was given a case study document to build a rest api with features a day before the interview (on a workday), in the interview I was asked to code the program live in 2hr 20min. Made mistakes but made incremental progress and working API to fetch data was ready. Yet the interviewers were not impressed and interview process ended midway. Frankly, I don’t think the same interviewers will be able to code me a solution live in 2hrs to me without making mistakes and if they focus on showing clean code and approach I am sure there will be no demo-able piece in 2 hrs, but just code structures.
