I was reached out to by a recruiter asking to set up a call, and go over a potential job match. After a good conversation, I was told a follow up would be provided on whether or not I’d be speaking with the hiring manager, and to submit a formal application. No response. Followed up after week of silence for an update, still radio silence and it’s been 3 weeks now. If you’re going to reach out to people with a job opportunity they didn’t send an application for initially, at least give them the decency of a rejection post-conversation instead of waiting and hoping.
