I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Linux Academy (Keller, TX) in Mar 2018
Interview
Initial contact via a recruiter, followed by a video interview with their HR specialist, and finally a phone interview with the hiring manager. Some time delay in between each step, but that is to be expected, people are busy.
Low key, low-stress interview process from start to finish. The HR specialist focused on my general personality traits and did a great job explaining the Linux Academy remote employment protocols and processes.
Hiring manager delved into my technical skills but was mainly focused on my motivation for taking a teaching job. He really wanted to make certain that I would have a good attitude for the students, and present a positive face for their content.
After the phone interview, they got back very quickly with an offer.
There were not too many prepared questions in either interview, but I saw that as a result of a free-flowing conversation. Both interviewers were well prepared, we just covered many topics without the need for prompts.
