Interview
Went through a very pleasant screening process with an HR representative and then a technical interview was scheduled. I met with the VP of Software Engineering who was more interested in a Ruby developer than an actual Security Engineer. She went on to tell me a story about another recent candidate who, while highly qualified in software with years of experience, was turned down. She stated that they expect a great deal from their engineers and he just didn't have exactly what they were looking for.
The story was not lost on me and it was clear she was indicating the same about me. It felt very condescending and belittling. I was then ghosted by the company.
This being a new team being formed, it also told me that they really don't know what they want or need in terms of security.
