Recruiter contacted me. We had a preliminary call followed by an interview with the Hiring Manager. Then, four 2-on-1 interviews with team members. The actual interviews were fairly standard, with standard questions.
The first sign of problems was that after my initial calls I was told to expect an email to schedule the next steps. I didn't hear anything for a week. I contacted the company asking for an update and didn't get an answer for several more days. They eventually got back to me and we scheduled the next round of interviews. Prior to the interviews was ASSURED I would get feedback 24 hours regardless of the outcome.
After the next round of interviews I didn't hear anything for several days. I sent an email asking for an update a few days after the interview and another a few days after that. No response. I've been ghosted before in these situations and, while never pleasant, is not unusual. What is different here was the multiple assurances that they would not do precisely what they did do.
