The recruiter and I had a phone interview that lasted well over 30 minutes. I thought it went well and the conversation flowed. After getting to know more about my background, the recruiter said they would be in touch. Additionally the recruiter reached out to me right after the phone interview via linked in and instructed me to fill out an online application. A few days later I received a rejection letter. Based on the interview, and after being instructed to fill out an application, at minimum I expected an in person interview.
The recruiter did mention that he was going on leave. There is something shady about their hiring process and I should consider it a blessing that they didn't waste anymore of my time.
