The process took around 4 weeks. Throughout that time I communicated via e-mail with a Front End engineer on the team. Recruiting process breakdown: A. 30 min phone screen (2 technical questions and explain interest in the internship) B. 48 hour coding challenge (build and app with a provided API that utilizes modals) C. 2 person panel in-person interview (code review style) The process was quite pleasant and the person recruiting you is personable and responsive. The company has a good vibe and everyone is nice. I waited 2 weeks to be rejected. One thing for me that was personally off putting was not getting real feedback (maybe that's the face of the game.) As someone that graduated at the top of my class to get a response that they're impressed with my "enthusiasm" for the internship, not my skills was weird, maybe I sold myself wrong, because I had the stack they were looking for... and they said they went with people that had skills that were a better match (???). The reason why I'm putting this here, is to tell you to lower your expectations for honesty, because they actually posted the internship again after interviews were over, with all those other people (...that's what I've been told). Maybe they should be more direct about what they are looking for or reject people earlier if you don't like them, I think it would be a bit more professional. In the end, a company is willing to miss out on talent in order not to make a hiring mistake, so why not reject people the moment you know you have doubts?
