A senior talent acquisition partner at Komodo Health reached out to me on LinkedIn and asked me if I'm interested in a data science manager position with them. After my positive response, they scheduled an initial call with one of the recruiters which took her two weeks to provide availability. After talking to her she scheduled me for an interview with one of the Senior data scientists on the team. I had a good conversation with him, he asked a probability question following up with coding it in Python. Since the advertised position was a Technical Manager position, it's absolutely expected that the technical capabilities are tested. It'd been better if they communicated that the basic topics are going to be discussed as they're not used on an everyday basis and they can easily be forgotten - considering that I'm not actively looking and they reached out to me. Anyway, two days later over the weekend, I received an email that they are not moving forward. I am absolutely fine with their decision, although I don't know how they evaluated that I'm not a good fit for a manager position with one probability question and not a single modeling question or managerial skill question! Afterward, I communicated these points with the talent acquisition partner and thanked him for the opportunity, but he didn't even bother to recognize the receipt of the message!
