It was the worst interview process I have ever encountered in my professional life.
No coordination, absolutely disorganized, they kept me waiting for around 45 mins and then the first person I met was the interviewer.
Interview took around 1 hour 15 mins.
Interviewer was not even listening to the responses for ice breaker questions. He kept cutting me right after two lines.
Then comes the technical discussion.
He asked me average problems, same old questions, reversing the stack, copying link list with random pointer. Most basic example of decorator pattern. Thread safe singleton pattern.
Then comes the worst part. After the interview, he asked me to wait in reception area. They don't have any separate space for that. Its like a big hall, with few meeting rooms. Everything is there in that hall, waiting area, workstations, washrooms, reception everything. I kept waiting for around 1 and half hour. Everyone left for lunch and I was sitting in that almost empty hall. After an hour I called the consultant who scheduled the interview, she gave the name of contact person who was out of the office that day. I got alternate contact from the security guard who was the only soul visible to me in that hall. That person was also gone for lunch.
When those guys arrived after good 1.5 hour of lunch, that guard directed the HR person to me.
HR was so surprised to me, she didn't even know that I am here for an interview. I told her about the situation and then she went off and came back after few minutes saying that "its the only round we can take today since most of the interviewers are absent."
I was like WOW! They wasted around 4 hours of mine, kept me waiting while I was starving, took a single interview and now they expect me to come back for further rounds.
Not sure about their work culture but I am sure there is lot of scope of improvement in their interview process.
