Attended the office in the City following a call from a consultant. I interviewed the previous year with 2 other consultants and never heard from them again. Got a call as my CV had come up on the database for a role; as my credentials were out of date re-submitted the due diligence required by most agencies today as a matter of course. The role was an immediate vacancy and we discussed my CV, the client firm and I still had no idea what the role was or who the firm was agencies give very little away about what is going on as you are the person who does the job but you are not the client. As we got to the end of the discussion it emerged that the role I was saying yes to would be disclosed to me by email later that day for where I was going and whom to contact etc so I had to ask what the role actually was and was told 'x'. So I blurted on about my experience in that field, I duly got the email that Friday afternoon and braced myself for the following weeks. On the Monday, it became apparent when I got there, it was another role entirely in a different department.
