The “final loop” ’interviews consisted of five rounds of questions, each supposedly pertaining to a theme, but none did as far as I could tell.
This was confusing as I was expecting “principal” themed questions to relate to the…principals, which I had spent hours researching. But they never even came up during the interviews.
The interviewers seemed rushed and confused, both about the role and the process, and didn’t seem to have basic interviewing skills. The interviews were 45 minutes in length each, which is enough time for them to ask all their questions, but not enough for you to ask any questions. The next interviewer would ask the same questions, all of which were vague and not specific or targeted to really get to the intention of the question.
There was no diversity in my interview group, and I found that to be disappointing.
It all felt very one sided and uncomfortable.
After all the interviews, the recruiter(s) went silent for over a week - which is a long time after a final interview.
Overall, a frustrating and ill-prepared experience with little direction with what seemed like a very promising start.
I would love to see more of a mix in the interview panel, but that might not be possible if they aren’t hiring in diverse ways - which is what it felt like.
