This was for Crowdrise, which is part of GoFundMe. I applied online and was later contacted by the company HR recruiter. I had a phone call with the recruiter, and then a phone call with the hiring manager and then an on-site interview. Throughout the process I was in touch with the recruiter.
I was very disappointed at the interview because the place was extremely unkempt; some people looked like they haven't showered or maintained personal hygiene in a while. One of my interviewers was blatantly rude and no one in the group panel stood up to him, which made me question the team environment.
I felt that the team as a whole was overbearing. They wouldn't be clear in their instruction and would be visibly frustrated when I didn't understand. For example, they would ask me a software question and I would give a solution with the language built in functions. They would ask for another solution without built in functions. When I delivered the results, it turns out they wanted a mix of built in functions and ones you build yourself. How was I supposed to know that?
Overall, I'm extremely glad this didn't work out. The recruiter was very nice but the team I would have worked with wasn't.
