I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at GitLab (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2018
Interview
The interview process was quick - back-to-back interviews with the whole list of interviewers and then . . . radio silence for over a month. No response from People Ops and my recruiter.
It was a bizarre process in which I was told to prepare for the CEO interview and was given a ton of positive feedback, and then nothing.
I totally understand if another candidate was a better fit for the role, but I strongly urge GitLab to make sure they have open communication with candidates who have made it through the entire process and not send a form rejection email. After someone invests 6-8 weeks in an interview process (including a project), they deserve some feedback.

Question 1
Typical STAR questions to begin and then more difficult as the interviews progressed.
