After the initial two pleasant rounds with friendly individuals, I was scheduled for an interview with the CTO.
The atmosphere was completely different. He was assertive and provided incorrect assessments of my responses to his ill-conceived questions. When I kindly offered to send him a link to a paper (the solution I was explaining), he responded with a dismissive “I don’t care.”
Later in the interview, he acknowledged his mistake on another point and blamed it on the HR department or previous employees, despite it being entirely his own responsibility.
Furthermore, he demonstrated a lack of technical expertise, which is expected of a CTO, when discussing other papers. He consistently asserted that they were incorrect, even though they were peer-reviewed and published by me.
