I was referred by an current employee and received an email from a recruiter about 2 months later asking for some time to talk. It was a pretty basic phone screen, but the recruiter was super nice and I enjoyed the conversation. I was invited for another interview with a recruiter within the practice. We talked and she said the next steps would be a phone interview with a manager. A recruiting coordinator reached out for my availability and I never heard from here again. After multiple follow ups, I reached out to the practice recruiter explaining my frustration as I was also interviewing with another company. She said she'd reach out and get back to me. Weeks went by and I heard nothing from her. About 1 month or so later, she reached out and said that the TAS practice basically on a hiring freeze and the position was on hold. We spoke again about 4 weeks later and the scenario was the same. She did apologize and said that she wasn't sure when they've move forward with hiring again. EY - stop wasting people's time if you don't have the budget to hire people. You never know...you're potential candidates could be one of your next potential clients. Based on my interaction with them, I would not use their "professional services". The interview process was not professional at all (the people were, the process wasn't), so why would I pay a premium to use their other services.
