Dye & Durham Software Developer interview questions

- I had two interviews, one with a team lead, one with a VP - Both interviews were friendly and, obviously the questions were mainly technical, I got the impression that the most important thing was determining if I was a good fit for the team - The technical questions were deliberately open-ended but it was clear that they wanted to hear that you understood SOLID principles. Bringing as much as possible to the conversation beyond SOLID seemed like a good idea but I did get the sense that there may be knowledge-gaps on their side — for example, I asserted that composition is favoured over inheritance (which should not be controversial) and was surprised to encounter surprise that a multilayer inheritance model is not necessarily a good thing. - They have many applications from multiple mergers over the recent years, as such their code base is extremely diverse. Sounds like they have apps written in any language you can think of — so a discussing of languages you know may help.
