      Program Manager Interview

      17 Mar 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Dropbox (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2025

      Interview

The Dropbox interview process was relatively quick. It began with an initial recruiter screening with standard questions, followed by a hiring manager interview, then an assessment, and finally stakeholder interviews. I didn’t progress past the hiring manager stage, but the process moved fast. The company gave off a strong impression of internal politics playing a significant role in decision-making and how things get done. Beware, interviews are rigid in time so 30 min is 30 min. Respond to questions quickly if you want time at the end to answer anything.

      Question 1

Tell me about your experience? Tell me about a time you've had to manage stakeholders who are difficult and how you got around that.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Dropbox in Mar 2022

      Interview

The interview process was very smooth and transparent once the ball started rolling. From beginning to end, it was about a 2 months. I had one screening interview with the recruiter, one interview with the hiring manager and then a "super day" where I met with 4 other team members.

      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Dropbox

      Interview

The interview process was fine up until the tail end. The recruiter requested my availability after extending an onsite interview invitation. After providing my availability, she reached out a day later informing me that the role was filled and that I would no longer be brought onsite. It's unfortunate that this interview practice was applied.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Sorry to hear that you did not get a chance to interview with us. We understand that can be frustrating, and if there’s still interest with us (and we hope that there is! ) we encourage you to keep in contact with the recruiter in case a similar role opens up.
