      I applied online. I interviewed at Cortex (CA) in May 2026

      Standard HR intro, followed by a coding and system design interview. Like many companies in this age of AI - Cortex seems to think that doing Leetcode style interviews is still relevant. Based on the recent reviews on Glassdoor and Blind the company has not been doing well financially and the overall work environment is extremely toxic. This was evident after the interviewer asked me questions like "What's it like working at XYZ company? What is the culture there like? Is it a good company to work for?". Avoid interviewing with this company as they will spend weeks trying to schedule and reschedule interviews with you.
