Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview was focused on solving use cases and how you'd implement it using GCP tech stack- VertexAI, AlloyDB, BigQuery etc.
Had 3 interviews with all the co-founders, everything went well during the interview process. However, when its time for them to make a decision, they decide to freeze hiring for 1 month (obviously that was a lie as they were trying to keep me as a backup while looking for other candidates) intentionally putting me on hold.
After more than 1 month, I tried to follow up, they decided to ghost me (exactly the same experience as the Data Engineer interview in this thread) and ended up hiring someone else. As mentioned in this thread, very unprofessional behavior. I am glad that I am not associated with this company in any form or shape!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asking questions trying to solve their own problem that they do not have the expertise within the company to solve (in the name of interview).
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bitstrapped (Toronto, ON) in Sept 2023
Interview
I applied, and then later I had a meeting with one of the Co-Founders as an initial call. I thought we hit it off well. He mentioned that I would be moving onto the next stage of the interview, and then he completely ghosted me. I even followed up weeks later to check-in to see if he just forgot to get back to me, but after almost 2 months, no reply. I'm sure they're busy, but surely, if you have the time to meet with me, you have the time to email me saying you're not interested anymore. I think it's unprofessional, and that's not how you treat candidates. Typically, after meeting once, the norm is to let the candidate know what's going on; next stage or not.
