I had applied for the position meeting 110% of the qualification requirements and had not heard back. I then reached out through a social media application and contacted a higher level human resource representative. The day following I received contact from an HR recruiter. A phone call was set up with the recruiter. The recruiter had no knowledge of what the position really was and upon inquiring, was told the process takes about 3 weeks. No communication after 3 weeks so I reached out to the HR recruiter who then claimed to have experienced a health issue and would be in contact. Two weeks later no contact I continue to reach out with no result. I got an e-mail today that after careful consideration I will not be moving forward in the process. There was no careful consideration there wasn't even an interview with anyone knowledgeable of the position to fill. For a Communications company they do not communicate and their process is horrible. I would never recommend attempting to join Avaya as a security professional.
