Applied: Online 5/22/15
1st Interview: 7/6/15 This phone call was basically asking if I was still interested, went over the position, base pay, training hours. We did one role-play where a customer couldn't connect to WiFi with new apple device. She was looking for empathy, rapport, and probing the customer. Told me I was moving on to the next interview.
2nd interview: 7/8/15 Skype interview. This interview is with another recruiter. Went over pay, training, position. Similar situation, except not a role-play, the recruiter asked me what would I do and what questions would I ask a customer if they couldn't connect to WiFi on their device. Did a role-play where a customer just got a new iPhone but needs to setup the email. Told me I was moving on to the next interview & would receive an e-mail in 3-5 business days to schedule the final interview. I received the e-mail the next day.
3rd interview: 7/20/15 Skype/Final Interview. This interview was with a hiring manager. He also went over the position again, the pay, the training information. He also asked questions to make sure I was willing to setup an area in my home as an office and have the proper setup. He asked about 3 basic STAR questions. Did one role-play where a customer's car battery died now when they try to connect their iPhone to the car it doesn't work. In this role-play he told me he wasn't looking for me to be 100% with fixing the issue but more on how I would interact with the customer and handle the situation. Basically he was looking for empathy, building rapport, and confidence. After this interview he said I'd be contacted within 2 weeks regardless of the outcome.
Offer: 7/21/15 the offer! The day after my final interview, the 2nd recruiter gave me a call to let me know I had the job, and what my pay will be (all contingent on passing the background check). I did my background check, which took 3 days, and then received a call from the 2nd recruiter letting me know everything was great and that I was official.
TIPS: EMPATHY, EMPATHY, EMPATHY, RAPPORT, PASSION! Definitely study the role-play scenarios & the different interview questions you see on Glassdoor. Also MacRumors Forum site has some good information about the position in general (interview tips, job information from current workers, etc). My friend, AHA, told me to be extra prepared for the final interview & she was right, you definitely need to be! You don't want to be caught off guard. #1 Customer service skills #2 Tech skills!
Good luck!
