I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Apple (Cupertino, CA) in Apr 2015
Interview
Team highly polarized. Looking for reasons to fail the candidate rather than looking for a match. They have collected superstars but they don't have teams. Highly secretive and suspicious. 2 rounds of phone screening then on site interview with 5 people. Interviewers make it like a rest rather than like a discussion.
Typically, there are up to four levels of interviews, beginning with the recruiter and progressing to the regional market leader. They are seeking individuals who strike a balance between being people-centric and demonstrating high accountability.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Apple in Mar 2023
Interview
Had a call with a recruiter and proceeded to then have an interview with a hiring manager. Once that wrapped the hiring manager the next step was to get further details from the recruiter. That never happened even after follow up.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Leadership and ownership questions. Basic questions for someone with years of experience.
Lengthy interview process with multiple rounds. Educational background and previous experiences were diligently checked to provide hiring team with a good basis for decision making. Overall very good experience and learning to go through it
