I applied in beginning august through their job board and received confirmation on proceeding with my application after a month. Had several calls with the HR on how to prepare for the interviews which involved a lot of their leadership questions.
Had the initial screening round where the person asked mostly situation based questions and very trivial css and js based question.
After that, there were series of 5 rounds based on leadership principals, some coding, one system design. I had to prepare two or more examples for each of their 10-12 leadership principles.
Overall, the tech questions asked were easy, the main focus was on those situation based leadership questions.
In the end, as expected as always, they said the tech is strong but for behavioural, they want to downgrade the level of frontend engineer they're hiring for from level 5 to level 2. Also, that there's no opening on that level, so they have to check further for other teams.
On a personal note, with the level of relevant experience in the industry and having a proven work record, it's kind of insulting. It's what they do with everyone as I know and it's not fair.
