I had one first round phone interview with Amazon Ireland. The difficulty was high if you have no hands on experience on map reduce jobs. The call lasted for one hour and fifteen minutes.

Question 1
Assume one scheduled MapR job takes 1 hour every day to complete and suddenly it is taking two hours then how will you find the cause of additional one hour run time?
Assume your machine is connected to MYSQL server and suddenly you get the connection error then how will you troubleshoot the connection problem? and you dont have the server IP. You just have the hostname.
