I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
Pretty bad experiences. Talked to the recruiter and then got into the next round. I gave the coordinator 5+ days of availability and she ended up scheduling a time that’s not on the availability list when I had stand up meetings. Very disrespectful. Then 3 weeks later, another HR took over and schedule another time but didn’t send me the calendar invitation. Wow. Then another 1-2 weeks later she sent me the invitation for next day.
I had technical interviews with a data scientist. It went overtime with too many unnecessary questions. The interviewer asked me a lot of questions she admitted she didn’t know either. Interviewers in Amazon are not properly trained to interview people. Don’t waste time with them and they are pretty bad employer anyways. I only interviewed for visa purposes.
There are three rounds in total. The process begins with a coding round, followed by the main interview loop, where you will meet the team and discuss technical skills, experience, and fit.
First round is fun, second round, which is also the final round involved 5 sessions, with different focus. For some sessions, not be able to present my story completely, time was tight, and interviewers were rushing.
4 rounds:
ML breadth + Depth: Conceptual knowledge about ML and work experience discussion
Problem solving: Leetcode (Medium) + Basic ML concepts
Design + LP round: Use case discussion + Behavioural questions
Bar Raiser - LP round: Behavioural questions - Interviewer was non technical
