I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (San Antonio, TX) in Mar 2018
Interview
As an internal promotion candidate, you go through a pre-loop interview to confirm essentially that you are interview ready. Then, you go through the same POD interview that external candidates go through. 3 interviews, 1 HR and 2 Ops/Senior Ops, that cover the Amazon Leadership Principles. All answers are to be in STAR format and focus on Thinking Big (how your answers affect not just a shift but the entire building/network).

Question 1
HR asked, "As an Area Manager, who is your customer?"
Prior to even speaking to anyone about a possible interview there was a long and lengthy testing required. Really disappointing to finish with no feedback or additional details. I only received an email post test.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Stamford, CT)
Interview
Extremely unprofessional in my opinion. Talked to 3 different people, all of whom were wearing old sweatshirts and not looking at the camera. As I was sitting on zoom in a suit jacket, did not feel at all a place I would be valued at.

Question 1
Conflict between coworkers, how would you approach resolving?
All virtual. STAR interview questions (situation task action result). Think of examples of tough situations you had to deal with. I think I had 2 or 3 interviews before I got an offer. Pretty smooth process overall.
