I applied online. I interviewed at Alma Technologies (Portland, OR) in Mar 2021
Interview
The recruiter was responsible enough setting up and completing the phone screening. Unlike the previous review, he followed through appropriately.
However, the interview with the hiring manager was unprofessional to say the least. The laptop kept bouncing which was annoying, and an outside party actually entered the room during the interview. Even though it is virtual, you should try to keep a professional atmosphere instead of treating it like a free for all.
The hiring manager seemed caught up with the idea of calls, calls, calls. See 1980s sales playbook of a boiler room reminiscent of Wall Street. 🤦♂️
With COVID-19, prospects are more responsive to emails as opposed to calls. People are not glued to their office phone. I have a proven history of closing as well as completed demos rather than a call history of “70-80 calls a day.” The manager seemed to have blinders in that regard.

Interview
Where do I start? I had the HR individual schedule and then re-schedule our interview at least 5 times. Not to mention he missed our interview and never followed back. I applied to another position only to find out it was the same HR rep. They reached out to offer yet another interview that was scheduled, then rescheduled, then canceled without any notice. When I reached out to ask about the cancelation, there was no reply.
They are extremely unprofessional. DO NOT apply to work there. If this is how they handle their communication, that would be a huge red flag to their lack of organization as a whole. Such a terrible experience. Can't believe they call themselves HR and act so unprofessionally.
